Privacy Policy

How Masjid Hamza handles the information you share with us through this website.

Last updated: September 2026. This policy applies to the Masjid Hamza website and does not cover the Masjid Hamza mobile app, which has its own terms.

Who we are

Masjid Hamza, also known as the Islamic Center of South Shore, is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit located at 200 Stuart Avenue, Valley Stream, NY 11580. This website is maintained by the masjid office. If you have questions about this policy, call us at (516) 285-8585.

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to share with us. When you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number, the reason for your message, and the message itself. We do not ask for payment card numbers, bank details, or other financial information through this website — all donations are processed by our third-party donation platform on its own secure pages.

Prayer and iqamah times shown on this site are calculated for our address and do not request or store your location.

How we use your information

We use contact form submissions only to respond to your inquiry. Specifically:

  • To reply to general questions, enrollment, donation, or other requests.
  • To follow up on nikah or janazah requests, which may be handled by phone for urgency.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your information with marketers or third parties for advertising.

Service providers

Contact form submissions are routed through our website platform's form system so they reach the masjid office. The donation platform we link to is a separate service with its own privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service before giving.

Cookies and analytics

This website may use basic cookies and analytics to understand which pages are visited so we can keep prayer times and program information current. We do not use this information to identify individuals. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to view prayer times or contact the masjid.

Children

This website is intended for families and the general community. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the contact form. Information about students in our schools is handled separately through the school's own enrollment process.

Your choices

You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold from a past submission, to request correction, or to ask that we stop using your details for follow-up. Reach the office at (516) 285-8585.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the revised version will apply from the time it is posted.
